SECONDARY CAMBRIDGE AND  INDONESIAN NATIONAL CURRICULUM

English as a Second Language

This curriculum framework develops students in speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English. The curriculum has been jointly developed using assessment in Cambridge English and this is based on the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR), used throughout the world to map the progress of students in English.

Mathematics

The curriculum framework explores 6 (six) fields, namely: Numbers, Algebra, Geometry, Measurement, Statistics, and Problem Solving. The five fields are included in problem solving that provides a structure for applying mathematical skills. The count operations strategy is also an important part of the contents of the number. The curriculum focuses on principles, patterns, systems, functions and relationships, so students apply their mathematical knowledge and develop a basic understanding of subjects.

Science

The curriculum framework includes 4 (four) fields, namely scientific, biological, chemical and physical investigations. Scientific investigation is about consideration, ideas, evaluating evidence, planning work investigations, and recording and analyzing data. The aim of investigating the problem is to support the learning of Biology, Chemistry and Physics, which focuses on developing self-confidence and interest in science. Environmental awareness and some of the history of Science are also part of the curriculum.
